Your first visit is about getting to know you. We take digital X-rays, a 3D iTero scan and a full exam, then walk you through what we found on screen, so you leave with a clear plan and no surprises.
Every visit is tailored to you, but here's how a typical first appointment goes.
Grab a coffee in our reception area, then sit down with us to talk about your health history, any concerns and what you want from your smile. If you have dental anxiety, tell us. We'll go at your pace.
Low-radiation digital X-rays show what we can't see by eye: early decay between teeth, bone levels, old fillings and the roots beneath. Images appear on screen in seconds, so we can look at them together.
A small handheld wand captures a detailed 3D model of your teeth and bite in a few minutes. No impression trays, no gagging. The model becomes your baseline, so we can track wear, gum changes and shifting over time.
Your dentist checks every tooth, your gums, bite, jaw joints and soft tissues, including an oral cancer screening. Every finding is backed by what you can see on screen.
We walk through your results, rank anything urgent first and lay out your options, along with estimated costs, insurance coverage and financing. You decide what's next, and there's never any pressure.
If you're curious about straightening or reshaping your smile, your iTero scan can produce a simulated preview of how your teeth could look after treatment, often while you're still in the chair.
See a side-by-side of your current smile and a projected outcome.
Ask questions and compare options like Invisalign, bonding or veneers.
Take your time deciding. The preview is yours to think over.
Simulations are illustrative. Actual results vary by case.

Plan for about 60–90 minutes. That gives us time to talk, take your imaging and complete a thorough exam without rushing.
Often, yes. If your gums are healthy, we can usually do a routine cleaning the same day. If we find signs of gum disease, we may recommend a deeper cleaning at a follow-up visit instead.
Yes. Digital X-rays use significantly less radiation than traditional film, and we only take the images we need to diagnose accurately.
Not at all. The wand is about the size of an electric toothbrush and simply glides over your teeth. Most scans take just a few minutes.
